What is worth sending

A validator that disagrees with another tool is the most useful thing you can report, and the most useful form it can take is the rule identifier and what you expected instead — BR-FR-05 and "this invoice has a SIRET, so it should pass" is enough to work from. Questions about which profile applies, which rule package a result came from, or why a check reports "not run" are all fair game.

Please do not attach or paste an invoice. There is no attachment field on this form, and that is deliberate — but a message body is ordinary email, so pasting XML into one would send document content through mail servers, which is exactly what the tools on this site are built to avoid. If a specific document is needed to explain a problem, describe the shape of it, or redact it down to the elements that matter.

What happens to what you send

The name, email address, category, subject and message you enter are sent to this site's server and forwarded by email to the project's mailbox, so that someone can read and answer it. Your address is used to reply and for nothing else — no list, no newsletter, no third party.

This is a separate path from everything else on the site, and the distinction is worth being precise about:

• Documents still never leave your device. The viewers and validators read invoices in your browser. That is unchanged by this form, which has no file field, no upload and no connection to the document pipeline.
• A contact message does leave your device, because a message nobody receives is not a message. It travels to the server and on to a mailbox, like any email.

Messages are kept for about 12 months and then deleted, unless a conversation is still going, or the message needs keeping for a legal reason or a dispute. Nothing is stored by this application: there is no database behind the form, and no copy of your message is kept on the server after it has been handed to the mail system. The privacy page sets out the detail, including who is involved in delivering the mail.
